Why you started fitness: I grew up competing in martial arts and also started lifting very early on. I had always admired the girls on the cover of Oxygen. One day I saw a fitness show on ESPN and loved that I could combine my athletic abilities with my fit physique. I have been hooked from my first show!
What are you fitness competitions plans: I just got finished with the Jr. Nationals last week and I am getting geared up for Team Universe in September.
What are you competition goals: My short term goal is to keep coming in every show better than the last. We only get about 6 minutes onstage every show. The real competition is in challenging myself everyday. Long term, I would love to earn my Pro Card and get rocking in the IFBB!

What routine will you be performing at the All Women's Weekend for Jen Hendershott to see: I will be performing my “Kill Bill” routine, samurai sword and all! It is being called “the most dangerous fitness routine ever”, but you’ll have to come watch the show to find out why!

Why I Started Fitness:
I was first exposed to competitive fitness in highschool when I was 14. I had watched it on ESPN and my school happened to hold the annual SC High School Bodybuilding and Fitness Championships.
I come from a cheerleading and track background and loved performing so this was right up my alley. Also having an older sister that competes in the IFBB didn't hurt either. She was able to "show me the ropes" and help prepare for my first few shows.
Competition Goals:
My goal is to make my pro debut later this summer. This has been a very busy and exciting year for me with recently graduating from college, planning a wedding, and training! I feel so blessed to be where I am right now and I continue to strengthen my talents and tweek the things that need work. In the near future, I also hope to share the stage with my sister Tanji Johnson and compete on a level I once dreamed of.

2004 Elite Muscle Classic - Overall winner
Why you started fitness: I was a competitive powerlifter and although that was rewarding and challenging I wanted something to include my dance background. I went to my first PhatCamp with Jen in June of 2004 where I learned what it takes to compete in fitness. She helped me with my first routine and I was hooked from there.
What are you fitness competitions plans: I want my PRO card and to continue competing at that level. My next shot at it is June 19-20th in Chicago!
What are you competition goals: I have done well in the routine rounds at the National level for the past 2 years. My physique scores are a bit lower. After taking a few months off and really hitting the weights hard and keeping my nutrition in check I hope changes will be seen on stage. I am a work in progress and it takes time to put on muscle in the areas you want.
